Wise Men Seek Wholeheartedly

You will seek me, and you will find me because you will seek me with all your heart. -Jeremiah 29:13

This Christmas season, as we wait for the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior, may we remember those who first sought Jesus. The wise men traveled thousands of miles giving up so much time and effort seeking Baby Jesus. There isn’t much written about them and their journey but one can assume it wasn’t an easy trip. They probably ran into many road blocks and disruptions but they never stopped seeking and they certainly didn’t do it half heartedly. This Christmas, may we mirror those wise men as we seek for Jesus in our personal lives. In the Scripture above, God guaranteed that his people would find him as long as they sought with all of their hearts. Are you seeking whole heartedly? Remember, the wise men didn’t stop to let Jesus find them, they kept moving forward, with their eyes on the star until they found what they were looking for. Don’t give up looking for that one thing you so desperately want this Christmas. Keep seeking with your whole heart and God promises to be found.
