Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. -Hebrews 10:23

On those days when you just can’t hear God speaking and your mind is too clouded to see Him moving, it’s most important to keep holding on. While we trust God to move in our situation, we must be willing and able to sit still. We have a job to do that does not include helping God fix our problem. No, our job, in those hard to hear, hard to see moments is to keep holding on. God has a lot of work to do. He has people to grab hold of, hearts to knock on, ears to tickle and minds to change. God has your problem under his control and He just needs you to sit still and hold on for the ride. He draws you deeper for one thing only and that is to grow your faith, even when you think it can’t get any bigger. God knows you and He loves you like crazy. Hold onto His promises to protect you and honor your dreams and desires that align with His will. Your troubles in this life are temporary but the promises God has given you are permanent and He is always working on your behalf to make the best life for you. Hold onto your salvation and live according to God’s will while you wait on Him to move. When you don’t hear him, just keep waiting, chances are He hasn’t changed His mind since the last time He spoke. Trusting and letting go is hard work, especially if you have been holding on for so many years, but God doesn’t need your help, He just wants you to hold on. Together, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting Him (Hebrews 10:22).
