Follow My Lead: Selah

Pause. Breathe. Remember.

"Be still, and know that I am God." — Psalm 46:10

We've walked together through several encounters with Jesus.

We've watched Him invite.
We've seen His mercy.
We've experienced His gentleness.
We've discovered that He knows us, loves us, and patiently leads us.

Before we continue down the path, the Shepherd invites us to pause.

Not because the journey is over.

But because growth often happens in the quiet moments when we stop long enough to notice what God has already done.

Take a deep breath.

There is nowhere to rush.

Jesus is not hurrying you.

He has been faithfully leading you one step at a time, and He will continue to do so.

Rest for a moment in this truth:

You are deeply loved by the Father.

Jesus has not been leading you toward rules or religion.

He has been leading you into relationship with the One who adores you.

Look Back

Spend a few quiet moments reflecting.

Not to measure your performance, but to notice God's faithfulness.

Ask yourself:

  • What have I discovered about Jesus?

  • What have I learned about the Father's heart?

  • Where have I seen His mercy?

  • How have I responded to His invitation?

  • What has brought me joy?

  • Where is He gently inviting me to continue growing?

Write a few thoughts or simply sit quietly with Him.

Give Thanks

Praise changes our perspective.

Before asking for anything else, thank the Father for what He has already done.

Thank Him for His patience.

Thank Him for His mercy.

Thank Him for His presence.

Thank Him for never giving up on you.

Keep God First

As you continue this journey, remember that following Jesus isn't about trying harder.

It's about walking more closely with the One who faithfully leads you to the Father.

Every invitation...
Every step of obedience...
Every act of grace...
Every moment of gratitude...

begins with one simple choice:

Keep God First.

Then trust the Shepherd to lead the next step.

Before You Continue...

If you're walking through this journey with a friend or small group, take time to celebrate what God has been doing.

Share a meal.

Tell stories.

Pray for one another.

Encourage one another.

If you're walking this journey alone, consider inviting someone to coffee, calling a trusted friend, or writing in your journal about what God has been teaching you.

We were never meant to follow Jesus alone.
